Fight Frame Separation with Cold-Pressed Frames

For years now, the mobile repair device industry has struggled with an onslaught of frame lifting, also known as frame separation. When assemblies are secured with hot glue, it's possible that the screen will experience lifting over time.

Luckily, there is a solution to the problem! All of our assemblies at Mobile Defenders are cold-pressed.

When OEM assemblies are made, their glass is adhered with a cold-pressed glue. The cold-pressed process is more labor intensive, but results in a much higher-grade product. The screen is clamped under a pressure set until the glue sets - which can take hours to complete. This glue’s sticking power is not influenced by temperature - hence the term "cold-pressed." Other suppliers may use a form of "hot glue" that uses a high temperature to adhere the screen to the glass.

Products secured with hot glue are notorious for frame separation in the summer months because the glue is closer to its melting point.

Our procurement department is invested in providing our customers with the highest quality frames available, and that goes back to sourcing products that only use cold-pressed glue. No need to worry about frame separation when you purchase your assemblies from Mobile Defenders!
